Bridal Shower

This week Trendy Wife made a bird cake. And nest cookies. For a bridal shower for a friend. Pinterest is definitely God's gift to parties. All I had was a picture of this bird cake from Pinterest, with no instructions, and by some miracle it turned out really perfect. Tender Mercies eh?
Chow Mien noodles covered in chocolate look just like a nest though.
THANK THE LORD they don't taste like a nest...

I'm new to this blogging thing, so I guess I should give you my recipe huh?
just bake a cake.
melt a package of chocolate chips, and dump 2 bags of chow mien noodles in. Mix, and slather on the cake. Here's a better picture of my cake.

"Trendy Wife?"

Hi guys,
So Trendy Wife is just a joke between my husband and I. Every time I do something I deem successful for the day, or just neat-o, for example make dinner, or get a great sale on our new couch, I say "Trendy wife makes dinner," or "Trendy wife is SO frugal."
...and we laugh.
It's basically just a dumb, (slightly schizophrenic) way to give myself a pat on the back...
 But I thought I would blog about life's simple successes.. and how those things, linked together, outshine the bad days by infinity billion.
And sometimes Trendy Wife bakes cute/delicious things.
And other times Trendy Wife goes on humorous adventures.
And even more often Trendy Wife learns new things.
Like how to love better.
and serve better.
So I'll share those things too.
